About Our Edwardian Conservatories

What is an Edwardian Conservatory?

An Edwardian conservatory is one of the types commonly known as a “period conservatory”, as the type gets its name from the monarch who was reigning at the time they were brought into fashion. The other two types are Victorian and Georgian conservatories. Much like Edward VII followed Queen Victoria, Edwardian conservatories were introduced in the time after Victorian ones.

Unlike their predecessors, Edwardian conservatories were not built to be ornate, or to have high levels of status-showing decor. Instead, they offer a square or rectangular space, with clean lines that offer its occupants the clearest available view of their gardens. The conservatory roof will also reflect this design, as it will usually be made up of three or four pitched sections which rise to meet at the centre ridge. This ridge may be the only decorated part of an Edwardian conservatory’s design, in the shape of a ridge line, and the conservatory windows may feature a series of small, separate windows at the top of their frames.

Features of Our Edwardian Conservatories

As well as the benefits that come with installing one of our Edwardian conservatory designs, there are a number of extra features that we can guarantee with our products:

  • Hardwearing, long-lasting designs
  • Easy maintenance and cleaning
  • Increased levels of security
  • Double and triple glazing options
  • Affordable prices
  • A 10-year guarantee

You will not find these benefits from “cheap and cheerful” designs provided by non-specialist tradesmen, so to ensure that you are getting as much from your new purchase as possible, it is always best to call the professionals. Call or email us today and we can discuss these further.

Styles

We are proud to be able to offer our customers a vast range of options for their Edwardian conservatory’s style. Whether you are looking for a bright and airy new space to read and relax in, or need to maximise the amount of space you have to host lively dinner parties during the summer, we know that we can manufacture the style that you will love the most and that will impress your friends and loved ones for years to come. No matter if you need it P-shaped, T-shaped or are even considering a lean-to style, we will make sure your order is manufactured and installed to your exact specifications.

Sizes

We understand that you may be constricted by the space that you have available, or that you may already have an idea in mind for your new conservatory’s use and need it to be a certain size. This is why our Edwardian conservatories are available in a wide range of sizes, suitable for any type of home. Whether you need a large conservatory at 10m x 8m, or something for a smaller garden, such as a regular 3m x 4m space, we will take your specifications into account.

The Benefits of Installing an Edwardian Conservatory

  • Extra Space: The addition of an extension to your home will provide the new space for your friends and loved ones to enjoy, while the square or rectangular design allows for as much of that space to be used as possible.
  • Versatility of Use: This new room can then be used for anything you need most, whether that is extra living space, a home office or art studio (the light from the windows and glass roof will be ideal for this!), or even a playroom for your children.
  • For Time Alone and Time Together: Open up your patio doors to take advantage of the cool breeze, all while sitting and relaxing in the comfort of your own favourite chair, or host that summer family barbecue you have been planning.
  • Blend in with Any Exterior: Edwardian conservatories are also aesthetically versatile so, no matter if your property is brand-new or over a century old, our designs will fit your home as though your new conservatory always belonged there.
  • Boosted Home Value: You will also be pleased to find out that the installation of an Edwardian conservatory will increase the value and appeal of your home, should you ever choose to sell it.

How Much Does an Edwardian Conservatory Cost?

The price of an Edwardian conservatory can differ greatly, depending on a number of different factors. For instance, the cost of a smaller sized conservatory, such as a 3m x 3m, will naturally be cheaper than a larger one, but bespoke features or additions, such as double glazing, may cause the price to increase. As such, there are no fully set prices for any type of conservatory.

Instead, to help our customers plan out their purchase and ensure everything fits their budget, we can offer the use of our quick quote service. All you will have to do is fill in your details and set out your specifications, before one of our friendly and dedicated staff members will come back to you with the cost of the work you would like done.
